Background
After so many years of teaching English and training Thai people in people skills, Chris Wright decided that it was time to open his own English school and training center. However, because he is an easy-going and fun-loving person, Chris decided that he wanted to have a school that was more than just a place where people come and learn the language or train for new skills, but also to be a place where people can come together and do things by putting the language and the skills learnt into practice. Chris and his team felt that it would be better to have a community of people who were members of a club that not only came together to learn English and people skills, but also came together to participate in various activities in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Today, many Thai people learn English and also do a lot of training in various courses, but don’t have as much chance to practice and use it in their daily lives outside of the classroom. This is the reason why the Wright English Club has been started. It is designed for the purpose of providing a place where people can learn in a modern and chilled out environment with experienced native speakers who can speak Thai, practice from up-to-date media resources, participate together in fun activities, or just chill out with native speakers or other English speaking Thai students in the English Cafe.

Products and Services

The English Cafe
The Wright English Club will also be a meeting place for students (members) where they can interact with their fellow students as well as teachers and Chris’s international friends from all over the world. Members can also chill out before and after their classes, or they can just stop by and have a drink and chat with people on days they don’t have class or even when their courses have already finished. Drinks and light snacks are sold in the cafe. You can chill out alone or you can chat with other people, both teachers and peers, but the only rule is, English only in the English Cafe!

The Resource Center
I study so much English but I never get the chance to use it! Are you somebody who likes to say this? Well if you are, the Wright English Club has the solution to your problem. Not only do we have the English Cafe where you can practice speaking with native speakers all the time, we also have the resource center where students can practice as well as learn English from various media that the center provides, such as the internet (English websites), English songs, movie DVDs, CD Rom, listening CDs, newspapers, magazines, and books. Students can either practice their English from the various media at the resource center, at the English cafe, or they can also borrow their practice and learning media to take home!

Extra-Curricular Activities
Members of the Wright English Club can also enjoy the chance to participate in various activities that the club organizes, and many times they will be free of charge! Activities such as Farang Night, Movie Week, Mini Acoustic Concert, Celebrity Night, Halloween Night, Karaoke Night, Christmas Night, Sports Day, Charity Day, English Camp Field Trip etc. will be organized so that members can have the chance to use their English with native speakers in various situations and events that are fun, and most importantly, outside the classroom
